I like all my clients to complete three of Dr Jay Earley’s Personalty Quizzes before their first counselling session with me. They’re quite short and don’t take too long to complete. The three quizzes I recommend you complete are:

You will have to register on the website first in order to get the results. When the results are given to you, please print them out and bring them to your first counselling session with me. Below is the link to the three short personality quizzes.
Love Languages Worksheet & Spreadsheet
I ask all the couples who come to me for marriage counselling or couples counselling to help their partners understand what words or actions make them feel loved by reading the below article on Gary Chapman’s 5 love languages and then filling in the spreadsheet or worksheets with their own love languages.
Free Mindfulness Meditations
I recommend all my clients start practicing meditation on a daily basis. To help you get started, below is a link to sixteen wonderful Mindfulness Meditations by Dr Ronald Siegel for you to download to your computer or itunes for free. When you press download, they will open up in itunes on your computer. (I downloaded each meditation to itunes on my computer and then transferred them onto my ipod so that I could listen to them any time and any where I like). I actually listen to one of the meditations every morning in bed the moment I wake up, or any time I have an emotion that I want to calm down. I suggest you try doing the same.

Breath Awareness and Body Scan are great meditations to start with if you have never meditated before.
Thought Labeling Meditation is very good for people who have strong Inner Critics and live in their heads a lot.
Stepping into Sadness and Fear are great to listen to when either of these feelings are really bothering you.
The Loving Kindness Meditation are great for people who are hard on themselves.
